We have been amazed by how attracted bees are to our lavender.  One of the reasons we planted lavender was because we wanted to provide the bees with lots of flowers in our yard.  We had read a couple of books about how bees are disapearing from the world and need more flowers.  When working in the lavender we are constantly surrounded by the cheerful buzz of hundreds of bees.  The idea of writing a series of books based on a bee named Bernie, who tends to the lavender garden was born from this.  The first book is just about finished and more are coming.  Check back for updates soon.
